"The Teachers" (aka"The Whole Thing") got together as we usually do every week for lunch. Today we had a big group of 9 of the most interesting and fun women I know...you KNOW who you are! We ate at a restaurant that has been around for a while at which I have never had the pleasure of eating...the Jerusalem Cafe in WEMO...I had the eggplant sandwich which was delicious....and messy. Among the offerings sampled were hummus with garlic, tahini, and olive oil with pita triangles, lentil soup, gyros, grilled shrimp with feta/veggies...and Little Ricky (Lisa B.) had the chicken Caesar salad...her palate is not as finely tuned to ethnic cuisine as some, but she did dig in to the hummus... Everything was wonderful...mostly the conversation.
This restaurant is very reasonably priced, has nice linen tablecloths and a calm atmosphere...I highly recommend it when you are in Mobile if you enjoy Middle Eastern Cuisine.
The main topic of conversation today was : WHO IS THE NEW PRINCIPAL GOING TO BE??? We find out on the 18th...gotta be better than the one who was non-renewed...oh, and BTW...she will probably get bumped up to central office west (C.O.W.)...where the Peter Principle is alive and well. Wish us luck...
